Christian Weddings Reasonable Rates.
Indianapolis Ministers Association performs every style of wedding at reasonable rates; to include casual, formal, semi-formal or themed. Choose your own location or use one of our affiliate chapels. Themes ranging from ancient times through the renaissance and all the way into futuristic sci-fi have all added to the spark of matrimonial flame. So whether you desire a traditional wedding, to elope or something extra different (biker, horror, etc.), we'll work to help create a day to remember. (A legal state issued wedding license must be purchased and on hand before we can legally perform a ceremony)
Christian Baptisms Washing away the sins of life.
We perform Christian baptisms for people over the age of eight. (Individuals under the legal age of eighteen must have a signed waver from a parent or guardian or proof of emancipation.) For children seven and under we perform dedication / christening ceremonies. Certificates with the Ministry Seal will be issued for each participant. Request Info
Funeral Ceremonies Preset and emergence services are available.
Death of a loved one can bring family and friends into extraordinary crisis. During this time, compassionate ordained ministers are available to help family and associates through the early stages of their grieving period. Funeral services can be performed in any legal setting desired: In home, church, funeral facility, grave side, river, or wherever. Get your Marriage License!
Requirements for Obtaining a Marriage License in Marion County, Indian are as follows;
(These are the same in all Indiana Counties, however as governments are, there may be some local requirements. We suggest you contact your county clerks office [Numbers & Links at Bottom of Page] for other requirements.
Identification
Applicants under the age of 18 must have an original certified copy of their birth certificate. Applicants age 18 or older must show one of the following forms of identification at the time of application:
· Valid driver’s license, · Current state identification card, · Original certified birth certificate, · Baptismal certificate with date of birth, · Military identification, · Passport, · Life insurance policy with date of birth, · School identification card, or · Transcripts of school records indicating date of birth.
Age Requirements
Applicants under the age of 18 must have parental consent. Additionally, applicants ages 15 and 16 must have a court order. Call 317.327.4720 for complete requirements.
Application Fees
At the time of initial application the fee is $18 if at least one applicant is a resident of Marion County. If neither applicant is a Marion County resident, the fee is $60 at the time of the initial application. Cash only please; no personal checks or money orders will be accepted at the time of application.
Certified Copies
To receive via mail a certified copy of a marriage license/application obtained in Marion County, send a letter including the groom’s name, the bride’s maiden name, the date of marriage a $2 check or money order and a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Marion County Clerk’s office. Copies may also be obtained in our office. Please call 317.327.4720 in advance to facilitate processing. Order forms may be obtained on-line at www.indy.gov/clerk.
Blood Test
Marion County does not require the prospective bride or groom to provide a blood test at the time of application.
No Legal Waiting Period
Marriage licenses can be issued on the same day of application. There is no legal waiting period to obtain your marriage license and no witnesses are required. Both applicants must appear at the Clerk’s Office in person to complete the application. However, they may come at different times. If necessary requirements are not met, the application may be held for no longer than 60 days, after which time it will be voided. Once issued, a marriage license is valid for 60 days during which time the marriage must be performed.
Previous Marriage
If either applicant has been married previously, the license application requires information on the month, year and manner (e.g., divorce, death, annulment) in which the marriage ended. If the last marriage ended within the last 60 days, you must show proof.

Where To Apply for your Marriage License
Indiana residents must obtain a license in the county in which at least one of the applicants resides. Proof of residency is required in one of the following forms: · Rental Lease · Current Driver’s License · State Identification Card · Current Utility Bill Out of state residents must obtain a marriage license in the county in which the marriage will be performed.
Both applicants must apply for their license in person.
